「益力多」兒童健康服務計劃

It was a 6-month programme focusing on children’s physical and mental health development and aiming to motivate them to help the minorities in Hong Kong. We were delighted to have more than 10 organisations participating with the sponsorships & PR support throughout the whole service project. Our club was honourable to have 50 P.5 to P.6 students with yet-to-be-improved body mass index from Chinese Y.M.C.A. Primary School at Tin Shui Wai being the Health Ambassadors. They were encouraged to do more physical exercises, and their calories spent were recorded. Subsequently, we donated food with the same calories amounts to the needy people.
Furthermore, a City Hunt was held for them with 9 checkpoints set up at Tin Shui Wai. The Health Ambassadors needed to explore the sports grounds/facilities in their living circle which could raise their awareness on a healthy life. In the end, a closing ceremony and a fun fair were held. The “Help Health” closing ceremony was launched at the school hall at Chinese Y.M.C.A. Primary School. We announced the winners with the highest calories burnt and sang our theme project song together. At the same time, "樂Teen嘉年華" took place nearby. In the fun fair, we introduced and provided a trial play of different new sports including Muay Thai to the public.
